In the very first chapter of Mage Tank, Arlo dies. At least he dies on Earth; however, someone or something gives him the option to respawn like in a video game. He figured he was either dreaming or actually dead, so he decided to respawn.

Arlo finds himself in a delve (a dungeon) with a group of magical adventurers who all know exactly what they are doing, while Arlo is the clear noob of the party. However, because of how he came into this world, he had a few extra massive boosts to his stats, and he quickly realizes his stats are not normal for a level 0 delver.

I was desperately trying to find something to fill the Dungeon Crawler Carl-sized hole in my heart once I finished the Parade of Horribles. This was one of the recommended series to try out. I really enjoyed it. Still rate DCC much higher. I will probably eventually read the rest of the Mage Tank series, but it didn’t suck me in so much that I needed to power through each book of the series.

I’d give it 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and Raccoons 🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝
