Book Review: Gate of the Feral Gods by Matt Dinniman

In Gate of the Feral Gods, Carl and Princess Donut find themselves trapped in a bubble with the simple task of destroying 4 strongholds on 4 different levels of their island for dungeon level 5. However, none of their normal friends and comrades are in the same bubble as them, so they have to find new allies in the few crawlers that share their bubble. 

This was another crazy dungeon level with really cool lore surrounding the Gate of the Feral Gods. Carl, at this point, is known for causing Chaos and breaking the dungeon, and that doesn’t stop here. You still hear from Carl and Donut’s allies, but you get to meet a bunch of new crawlers who join the ever-growing extended team of Carl and Donut. 

This dungeon level was positively simple compared to the previous level, but the side stories more than make up for the easier-to-follow level. And it can’t be a Dungeon Crawler Carl without a completely batshit insane ending that is almost completely Carl’s fault, but his heart was in the right place.

Another 5 Raccoon and 5 Star read for me.
