ANOTHER HOCKEY ROMANCE NOVEL!? I’m obsessed. Off Campus on Prime has officially made me accept the craze of Hockey Romances. I don’t even like hockey. I first read Avery Keelan’s first two books in her Rules of the Game series and figured, “Well, I already watched the first season of Off Campus, I might as well read the books now.” So, now I’ve switched to the Off Campus book series. I really loved the show, and I can picture all the people they cast as these characters.
I would say I liked the book more than the show in how it played out in the end, though I haven’t read book two yet, so I don’t know if what happens in the show eventually happens in a different book. I’ll definitely keep reading the series; just be warned it is a gateway book to hockey romance.
Quick synopsis: Garrett is the captain of the hockey team; Hannah is a music major. Garrett is failing the one class he has with Hannah, which is putting his grade average in danger of not being able to play hockey. Garrett convinces Hannah (after A LOT of attempts) to tutor him, and in exchange he’ll help her attract a guy that she has a crush on. Their fake relationship, however, turns out to be not so fake.
