Stranded is a science-fiction space opera adventure available on Kindle Unlimited. The story follows Evan, a former undercover cop, and Anya, a xenobiologist, after they crash-land on a distant planet slated for colonization.
The colony ship was supposed to orbit the planet for weeks—if not months—before any settlers set foot on its surface. Instead, disaster strikes, and colonists are forced to evacuate in escape pods, plummeting to the dangerous world below. Anya, one of the planet’s original researchers, understands better than most the threats lurking within its shadowy jungles and rugged hills. Determined to survive, she sets out with Evan to locate a downed military ship in the hopes of restoring off-world communication.
What unfolds is a high-stakes adventure across an untamed planet filled with aggressive beasts, venomous plant life, and a far-reaching galactic conspiracy that entangles Evan and Anya far more deeply than either of them could have anticipated.
I especially enjoyed the unfolding conspiracy and the steady tension throughout the story. There’s a subtle hint of romance, which I suspect will be explored further in later installments. The multi-POV structure works well; while the narrative primarily centers on Evan and Anya, it occasionally shifts perspectives to broaden the scope of the unfolding events.
I haven’t fully decided whether I’ll continue with the series—it’s a strong maybe for me. However, if you’re a fan of futuristic sci-fi adventures layered with political intrigue and survival elements, Stranded is definitely worth checking out.
